Mike Tyson As Special Referee at World Cage Fighting Championship!

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I remember a while back when Mike Tyson was the “baddest man on the planet”, it seemed as though anyone who was a big name in mixed martial arts would challenge him to a fight (from what I know, some names included Royce Gracie, Rickson Gracie, and Ken Shamrock). And there was talk about Mike Tyson possibly facing Bob Sapp in K1, but obviously that didn’t work out.

Even though he hasn’t fought professionally outside of boxing, he’s the special referee at the World Cage Fighting Championship! (kinda reminds me of the time he was the special referee between Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV)

The Sun Online - Sport: Tyson gets cagey

Tyson said: “I haven’t had any training for this — but if I see an eyeball rolling across the floor, I’ll know it’s time I got involved!

“I just hope none of the guys get up to the sort of stuff I used to do.

“But you can forget any talk about me getting involved, even though I love cage fighting.

“I don’t want to fight no one no more. I’m past it, old and washed up — ancient history as far as all that is concerned.”

Tyson added: “People say cage boxing is barbaric but there is a lot of skill, heart, and technique involved. “There is a bit of the psychotic beast in all of us. Everyone thinks about putting the knee into someone’s face.”
