UFC 57-Captain America Vs The Iceman

On Saturday, February 4th, 2006 Captain America “Randy Couture” will face off against The Iceman “Chuck Liddell” in what is to be their third encounter in the UFC Octagon.

Who’s going to win?

Well, taking a look at the stats above, you can see that good ol’ Captain America has an edge in strength, agility, stamina, and he’s just a tad smarter than the Iceman. Combine that with an indestructible Adamatium shield, and a costume that matches the American flag, you’ve got a definite fan favorite that’s a force to be reckoned with.

However, the Iceman is a little bit more durable (he’s made of ice, dammit!), and can land punches from seemingly impossible angle that can knock you out cold (no pun intended). Along with his trusty ice slide ability, his long range freeze beams, ice balls, and flying icicles, he’s going to give Captain America a run for his money.

Will Captain America dodge all the ice attacks and get close enough to bash Iceman’s head with the Adamantium shield?

Or will the Iceman freeze Captain America in his tracks, and launch ice balls at a distance, knocking him out for a second time?

On a serious note, I’m not going to make any predictions about the outcome of Couture Vs. Liddell 3. You can always make arguments for either fighter, and list a bunch of very good reasons why one fighter is going to win and why the other fighter will lose.

But all I want to see is an action packed, swinging-for-the-fences, do-or-die back and forth battle that will leave me in my chair thinking,

“MAN! That fight was awesome…I couldn’t have asked for more!”
